The Volyn Foundation team participated in the “Digital Technologies in Cultural Heritage” conference, held in Lublin, Poland, on October 19-20, 2023. The conference brought together experts and professionals in the field of digital cultural heritage to discuss the latest technologies and best practices in this area.

During the conference, Anna Danylchuk and Marta Sydoruk presented a report titled “Project-Based Approach to Digitisation as a Tool for Preserving Cultural Heritage Objects During Wartime.” In their presentation, they highlighted the Volyn Foundation’s experience within the DGTRAN project (supported by the Creative Europe Programme) and emphasized the importance of digitizing cultural heritage amidst Russian aggression. The speakers detailed the threats and destruction faced by Ukrainian cultural heritage objects and how digitization can help in their preservation and protection.
